Everyone starts somewhere

A new thing.
People to try it with.

Beginner’s Club is being built for the person who wants to try something new, but does not want to be the only beginner in the room.

Founded by Sam Bersa, the club is developing recurring activity groups for adults in New York City. The plan is simple: six to eight complete beginners, one activity, and a weekly reason to return for four or six weeks.

What makes it a club?

The aim is to see familiar faces as you learn. You can arrive alone, ask basic questions and share those first attempts with people starting at the same point. Friendship is an opportunity, not a promise or a requirement.

Where we are now

We are talking with venues and instructors about dance, painting, pottery and pickleball. No venue partnership, price or course date is being advertised as confirmed. The early list is free and does not reserve a place or start a subscription.

What you will know before booking

Each confirmed offer will explain the venue, instructor, all dates, session length, total price, group size, inclusions and cancellation terms. If a Beginner’s Club group attends a public class together rather than a private session, the listing will say so.
